KTuner V2.0 Tuning Package w/ Free TSP Tune & 2 Day Shipping!

I really enjoyed my 2018 Sport Hatch 6MT to begin with. I’ve never pushed much more than 130 horses in my previous cars, and I’ve never owned a turbocharged engine. However, from the factory, the car does leave a bit to be desired. In my case, it was the rev hang and the mostly lazy throttle response. I’m used to drive by cable cars and n/a engines.

A KTuner base map alone fixes those issues, but the TSP stage 1 tune really takes it to another level. People often say it “wakes the car up” and there’s really not a better way to put it. If these engines were tuned like this from the factory they’d be the ideal business and pleasure mix. Fortunately, you only have 450-700 dollars in the way of that being your reality.

I’m a pretty conservative driver, but it’s been a lot harder to chill after reflashing. I haven’t taken this many pleasure drives since I first got my license, rolling around backroads in my W124. Smiles per gallon is ridiculous. And this is all on map 2 of the TSP tune, map 3 feels pretty monstrous (to me (in a good way, I just rarely am able to give it the beans where I live)). The quick map switching is a really nice touch, especially if you don’t want the unit to be connected constantly.

In short, if you’re curious, you should probably get one. If you’re hesistant, pop over to the CivicX forum and check out the tuning reliability thread. People have dailied their tuned civics to great success.

Word to the wise: if you go with the center console mount for the unit… have a plan to run the cable to the ecu in a safe manner. I got excited and didn’t think about it too hard when I placed my order. If you have well fitting floor mats you should be able to run it under those no prob.

Overall verdict: takes a decently fun car and makes it into an absolute hoot. No noticeable mpg loss, no odd behaviors after reflashing. It just rules. The 1.2 version is perfectly viable too if you’re trying to save a few bones.
