Makes the car a lot more fun to drive! Nothing but smiles hearing the intake! Highly recommend!
My comparison is to a pair of cheap Am@zon struts that did the job until I installed a strut tower brace. They were mounted to the strut tower which caused rubbing.
I installed this set to clean up the engine bay & I was pulled in by the small size.
That size means less push, & the hood must be guided up. No big deal. However, the links are weak & one of mine would not stay seated. I had to use my secret epoxy to lock it in. I have pulled those links from the above mentioned struts just in case.
If you don't know, you will need an inexpensive rivnut gun or drill adapter. Even with that, installation only takes a few minutes.
They are definitely not worth the cost & $60 should be an absolute max. But for a minimalistic look at the cars & coffee, they can't be beat. If I'm really wrenching, I'm going to install & use the old hoodprop.
Got it and was easy to install. Waited to put it in when I was going to do my transmission fluid change in the manual 6 speed since I had to remove the stock air box to get to the fill hole. Was actually easy and simple to install and I am extremely satisfied
