A full 3” T304L stainless steel downpipe-back configuration, the Touring Edition Exhaust is the perfect dose of steel for drivers looking for straight-pipe performance, a deep, sophisticated exhaust note, and zero drone at highway speeds.
Featuring an integrated front pipe, bespoke midpipe resonator, and AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®, the Touring Edition delivers a full-bodied, rasp-free L15 soundtrack unachieved by any of its peers. Under boost and heavy throttle, the Touring Edition screams. At highway speeds, drone-free within the cabin -- the best of both worlds. Sound Perfection: AWE 180 Technology

As exhaust gases exit the K20 engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Important Fitment Notes
The Touring and Track Edition Exhausts include a full 3” front pipe. This front pipe is integrated into the design of the exhausts. AWE exhausts are not designed to mate with other aftermarket front pipes. Downpipes, on the other hand, should work just fine (so long as they work with the factory-style flange).
Tip Options
The Touring and Track Edition Exhausts feature a modular tip design that allows drivers the choice of running double or triple 4.5” slash-cut tips via our bespoke stamped tip merges. With such interchangeability, a dual tip configuration can be converted into a tri-tip configuration (and vice-versa) within minutes via an AWE Tip Conversion Kit.
Each exhaust comes complete with 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips available in chrome silver or diamond black, and feature a stamped AWE logo. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

This is a well-built exhaust system and the range of tip choices is attractive and above and beyond what other kits offer. The triple-tip option fills out the rear fascia gap beautifully, and the black diamond tip are gorgeous. This kit is pricey, but unlike many kits it includes a front pipe, so there is definitely value here.
Unfortunately, that included front pipe is where my issue with the AWE exhaust begins. The AWE front pipe is compatible ONLY with the AWE exhaust, and vice-versa. This would be no big deal if not for the fact that it is not a fully 3" front pipe as claimed by AWE. Right at the inlet flange the piping necks down to about 2.628"/66.75mm OD and the flange itself has a 2.28"/58mm ID, basically just a factory-sized flange and is a choke point if you have an upgraded downpipe. This is a very odd design choice on AWE's part, considering that other front pipe upgrades on the market have achieved end-to-end 3"/76mm diameter by way of custom flanges and gaskets that still fit the stock bolt pattern and make them compatible with both stock and other aftermarket components. Modification to replace the FP inlet flange and necked-down piping is further complicated by the lack of any easily available 3" FP-DP flanges, meaning that additional fabrication on top of cutting and welding is required.
Because of this I have ultimately decided not to use this exhaust system. Very unfortunate.
Exactly what I wanted. Not too loud during idle, but comes to live when pressing down throttle. Nice deep tone and gives a little burbles shifting at low speed. Exhaust tips look nice , instructions are simple go follow and support has been great. Recommended!
