Got this intake to add a bit more turbo spoiling noise on my Integra Type S. Overall install was quite easy especially if you are familiar with the engine bay. It can be installed without entirely removing the ECU, but it might make your life easier when trying to unclip the harness bracket for the snorkel. Make sure to disconnect the battery before unplugging the MAF sensor as it might throw a CEL. Keep a $20 OBD-II handy in case you need to reset the code.
On stock tune, there doesn’t seem to be much difference in low end torque but you can definitely feel a bit more response once the turbo has spooled up. PRL doesn’t explicitly advertise an increase in power, but moreso to prevent the power loss due to heat on stock tune. Be sure to turn up your speakers as the turbo noise can add more weight to your foot and reduce your economy.
I will probably add the turbo inlet at a later time to increase the turbo spool a bit more but overall very happy with this product.
Both additions were a great compliment to the OEM shifter feel. Next up is the short shifter kit with base bushings to mostly complete my shifting upgrades. Thanks TSP!
Paired this with the hybrid racing linkage bushings. The two paired up well and improved the shifting mechanics from OEM. Simply a much better connection. Thanks TSP!
This small upgrade is worth it for the price. Noticeable difference from OEM that provides a much better connection to your shifting. Thanks TSP!
