The factory intake tract on the 2022–2024 Honda Civic and 2023–2024 Acura Integra is very restrictive, limiting power output by choking the turbo. The new Injen SP1586 cold air intake opens up that intake tract with a massive 3.00-inch aluminum intake tube, which transitions into Injen Technology's patented step-down process called MegaRam Technology (MR Technology for short). This patented MegaRam Technology allows Injen engineers to fine-tune fuel trims and maximize power output.

Directly after the MR Technology step-down, the system briefly enlarges to 2.50 inches before entering the factory turbo inlet. This design maintains airspeed for improved throttle response. The longer tube found on this cold air intake also promotes increased power across the entire RPM band—not just at the top end, as is common with most short-ram and enclosed systems.
