A Dream Built on Four Wheels

I’ve had the biggest passion for cars for as long as I can remember. But the moment everything really clicked for me was when I was seven years old. I came across a Slammedenuff show on YouTube — a venue packed with the coolest modified cars I had ever seen in my life, each one built to reflect the person who created it. The second I saw what people could do to these cars, I was completely, one hundred percent all in. I didn’t know exactly how or when, but I knew that one day I was going to build something like that.

Now at 21 years old, living in Brandon, Mississippi, I can honestly say that dream is my reality. My 9th gen Honda Civic FB6 is a fully built show car, my daily driver, and the mobile unit for my detailing business — Royal Touch Auto Detail — all rolled into one. Every single day I’m driving this thing to shows, to clients, and everywhere in between.

It Started Before This Car

My first car was a 2004 5-speed Mini Cooper — basically a street-legal go-kart — and I immediately started putting mods on it. That’s just how I’m wired: the moment a car is mine, I want to put my personality into it.

But the FB6 was always the one I had my eye on. I’ve always loved the chassis for its looks, and the fact that Honda has such a deep aftermarket and so much engineering history behind them. I’m a big JDM nerd, so it just made sense. I was watching one of my favorite car YouTubers, Iliminate, and saw one of their crew members had an FB6. I immediately fell in love with it. Not long after that — it was mine.

The Vision

From day one I had a clear picture of what this car needed to be. Not just a show car. Not just a work vehicle. Both, completely and fully, with no shortcuts.

On the outside, I’m running a full air suspension setup with Rays Engineering 2-piece GT-7 wheels from 2006. The front lip and side skirts are paint matched to the body, and I’ve got aftermarket headlights and a roof spoiler to sharpen up the whole look. But what really sets it apart is the livery — a fully custom, race-inspired wrap done entirely in reflective vinyl. During the day it looks wild. At night, it absolutely glows. I added lit logos and small detail work throughout to tie it all together.

The interior is where things get really interesting. I run a full mobile detailing operation out of this car, so the build had to reflect that. I did a custom rear seat delete to open up the space, and inside I’m housing a 33-gallon water tank, a 50-foot pressure washer reel, an air compressor reel, a 25-foot extension cord reel, a 6-gallon pancake air compressor, a vacuum, and a generator. The whole setup is wrapped in custom vinyl with ambient lighting, with an iPad mount and bottle holder in the trunk for the display. Oh, and the Air Lift Air Suspension System with the underglow kit is all back there on full display too.

No one has ever seen a water tank in a Civic — let alone one that’s a full-time show car and a full-time work car. I come to you, wherever and whenever, and get it done. Fully, fully mobile.

My Favorite Mod

Hands down, my favorite modification is the mobile detailing setup. It’s not just a mod — it’s my business. It’s how I turn this passion into something real every single day. People are blown away when they see it. A show car that you can also book to detail your car? Nobody’s doing that. That’s what makes it mine.

Ā

The Hard Parts

I’ve had my setbacks like anyone else. The worst moment was when I seized one of my air compressors — my wires got super hot and I was freaking out. But I fixed it, and I learned from it.

Honestly though, my biggest challenge is just finances. That’s the real one. If money were no object, there would be no setbacks. This car would already be the craziest 9th gen Civic and detail rig in the world. But that’s what keeps me hungry. I’m building this the right way, at the right pace.

Ā

A Moment I’ll Never Forget

When I was 12, I watched my first Slammedenuff Gatlinburg show and decided right then that it was the pinnacle. The biggest stage in stance culture. The show that mattered most to me above everything else.

A few years later, my car was inside it.

Having my car invited into the Gatlinburg show was truly a dream come true. I’ve been to 10 Slammedenuff events now — including a booth at a NASCAR event and regular trips to Memphis for shows — but Gatlinburg will always be the one that means the most. I grew up watching those cars. Now mine is one of them.

Looking Ahead

Right now the build is mainly cosmetic, and I want to keep the reliability locked in while I grow the detailing business. But once I get more rigs out working, I’m going all in on power mods. A full engine and trans build, a coated undercarriage, full suspension bracing, a big brake kit — I want to do it all. I also want to redo the interior completely from scratch, with star lights and boat paint instead of wrap so it has that ultra-flaky finish. The goal is to build the true ultimate detail rig. Not just a show car. Not just a work car. Something that’s engineered to be crazy fast and looks just as crazy doing it.

What I’d Tell Someone Just Starting Out

ā€œDon’t rush it and don’t cheap out on the parts that matter. Don’t rely on shops for every single mod. Learn new skills, because that’s how you make the build truly yours. And most importantly, don’t let people discourage you. If you have a vision for your car, work hard and make it reality. Don’t stop until it’s done.ā€

What This Car Means to Me

This car means everything to me. I’ve been in love with this culture for as long as I can possibly remember. The friends I’ve made along the way, the shows I’ve attended, the people I’ve inspired — it all proves to me that this is exactly what I’m here to do.

I spent years on the other side, being inspired by other people’s builds, dreaming about what mine would look like one day. Now I have the build, and I get to be that inspiration for someone else. To go all the way in your own creative style and put it on display for the world — that’s the whole point.

From a young boy watching YouTube videos, dreaming about a stance car and a Slammedenuff show. To a young man who built that dream from scratch and took it to the biggest stages around.

Visions into reality. Passions into profits.
