Prl has always gone above and beyond with their products. The 1.5T intercooler upgrade does not lack at all. Instant IAT temperatures make your car run better than it ever will. Would buy again any day of the week.

Noticeable temperature difference on highway.

I bought the raw aluminum intercooler, the only I issue I had was removing the cowling or whatever you want to call it around the stock intercooler. In every video I have seen everyone keeps the whole plastic cowling except the top bit but mine wouldn’t fit with the sides on so I had to cut the plastic with some scissors. Overall pretty easy install, I recommend two people for taking the front bumper off so you don’t damage the fog lights like I did. ( as it turns out they will shatter with the slightest bump )

Description

It’s no secret that Honda’s 1.5L turbo Civic is extremely susceptible to heat-soak, especially when retaining the factory intercooler. Excessive heat-soak increases the risk of detonation and causes major power-loss due to high charge air and cylinder temperatures. These issues become even more prevalent with spirited driving and/or increased power outputs.

The PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade decreases charge air temperatures while increasing potential airflow with its dense 550+ horsepower rated (though we have pushed 600+) 25.6x4x6.3” bar-and-plate bar-and-plate core and machined billet aluminum end tanks!

This intercooler utilizes factory mounting spots with our embossed end tanks. Kits will come with all hardware needed for a seamless install.
