Why use a PRL Motorsports filter?

Our oiled filters are constructed from high quality, double layer cotton to increase the filtration surface by 10% - 15%. This causes air to move freely while maintaining superior filtration, trapping particles as small as 5 microns! The cotton filter is encased by coated steel mesh to ensure your PRL Motorsports air filter withstands the toughest of conditions!

Each filter is hand-molded using a flexible rubber base to ensure an airtight seal and absorb vibration. These filters do not use pressure-molding like other manufacturers, which can cause the rubber to seep into the filter element blocking airflow by up to 25%! Our air filters utilize a precision four-step process to virtually eliminate rubber seepage and maximize airflow!

This filter is used in our 2018+ Accord 1.5T & 2.0T HVI System, 2016-2021 Civic 1.5T ^ 2.0 Intake Systems, 2017-2022 CR-V SRI, 2022+ Civic 1.5T & 2.0 Intake Systems and 2023+ Acura Integra 1.5T HVI.

Filter Maintenance:

1.
PRE-CLEANING
Tap the filter or blow with air to remove excess dirt.

2.
APPLY CLEANER
Spray the filter with filter cleaner and allow the solution to soak in for about 15 minutes.
* Never use strong detergents, high pressure water, or gasoline.

3.
RINSE
Rinse the filter with warm water, clean side to dirty side to flush out the dirt.

4.
DRYING
Allow the filter to dry naturally. Try to avoid heat because it might shrink the cotton.

5.
APPLY OIL
Re-oil the filter using filter oil by using 1 spray per 2 square inches of filter. Take care to not over-oil your filter.
* Never use motor oil, transmission fluid, WD-40, or any other brand of filter oil as these may damage your filter
