Under heavy braking the brake master cylinder and firewall on your Honda Civic can flex.
The pressure from your foot pressing hard on the brake pedal can lead to some uninspiring feedback and reduce your confidence when diving hard into a corner on the track or in an emergency braking situation where you need to come to stop as quickly as possible.
The 27WON FSTB Brake Brace is designed to eliminate the flexing and movement of your brake master cylinderand help decrease the time for brake pad engagement. Get a proper track like feel and some extra confidence into your Civic braking system.
OurFront Strut Tower Baris already packed with features that make it the best FSTB for your CivicX. In order to truly REDEFINE the Aftermarket we needed to take it to the next level. Our Brake Brace upgrade capitalizes on the strength of our bar and ups the ante by improving brake pedal feel as well.
This is a simple bolt on upgrade that can easily beinstalled and adjusted in a matter of minutes.
Each Brake Brace is made fromsolid one piece billet aluminum and gets a stealth black powder coat finish. As with everything you get from 27WON, all the hardware you need is included.
What is a master cylinder Brake Brace and what does it do?
The master cylinder on your car is a cast metal piece with a reservoir on top full of brake fluid. Its purpose is to take the fluid from its reservoir and send that fluid/pressure to the 4 corners of your car to act on the brake calipers and help slow down the car. This master cylinder has a mechanical link to your brake pedal and receives the pressure you generate when you step on the pedal.
Sadly the master cylinder is attached to your firewall (a very thin section of metal the separates the driver from the engine bay) andit has a tendency to flex and move a lot when you are hard on your pedal. This can result in a delay in pad engagement and poor driver feedback.
OurBrake Brace attaches to your 27WON FSTB barwith two simple bolts and acts as a hard stop for the master cylinder. This gives a counter force to the cylinder and eliminates flex from the firewall. With the brace installed, some of the energy that went to flexing the firewall now helpsincrease brake engagement and driver feedback.

Wow, what can I say? I’ve had this tune on my car for the better part of this year. The Rehan is largely produced. I mostly run in map too when I wanna go a little faster but map one is still good for every day driving. I get phenomenal gas mileage even when I’m on the freeway plenty of road trips across the state. I’m getting us high as even 40 miles per gallon still but when I’m ripping it hard cross the life of the car and the tune I still get about 30 miles per gallon, which is awesome and it pulls so much harder.
PRL fabricates extremely performance driven quality products. This PRL High Volume Intake System with duct is no exception.
I can actually hear the boost now. Paired with my TSP Stage 1 Tune, Skunk2 intercooler, and MBRP Race Performance exhaust system, throttle response is exceptional and nearly instantaneous.
Turbo upgrade, PRL Down pipe, Flex Fuel Sensor, and Turbo Inlet Tube kit are my next mods on the list for instantaneous throttle response and performance results.
I anticipate no issues with the Skunk2 Racing intercooler. It is nearly twice the size of my Civic’s stock intercooler. The welds are clean and fluid, and structurally strong. It looks great in my lower front grill as well. Performance is much improved!
