The RV6 R365 turbo has a power curve and characteristics of a ball bearing GTX2860 GEN 2 turbocharger. We tested several turbine and compressor wheel combinations and found this setup to be the most practical. It is able to max out the factory fuel system without running at inefficient boost levels which tend to shake turbochargers apart.
For maximum bearing life run 0W-30 or 5W-30. The reasoning is that running increased boost pressures on a small frame turbocharger puts significant load on the thrust bearing. The thicker oil will offer better protection for the engine and turbocharger at higher power levels.

Received my turbo quickly from TSP and plan on installing very soon! The turbo looks amazing and I cannot wait to feel the power gains.
I have the ball bearing version. Pulls extremely good with my etune from D Rob. Lots of power and so far after a few months has been reliable.
Excellent turbo! Should max out the stock fuel system easily, and comes packaged very safely. You can trust RV6's quality.
This turbo is great and has the potential for power but I had threading strip out where the inlet mounts to the turbine housing. This is after installing snd taking it apart ONCE. And the customer service while trying to help is avoiding sending me a new one by any means necessary. Sending me Amazon links on taps to buy to retap the obliterated threads.....
I wanted to originally purchase a different turbo but was talked into this purchase by an employee. Maybe trying to offload poorly manufactured product?
