My first car was a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid, and while I loved it, it just wasn’t enough. I later traded for a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, and that’s where I really got into modding. When that car blew up, I knew I wanted to get back into a Honda. I found my FC1 on a lot, fell in love instantly, and I’ve been building it for almost three years now.

My favorite mod is hands down the starlight headliner. After a long day, I love turning on the car and just sitting under it. It’s calming, and everyone who rides with me loves it too. I daily drive my Civic, even though it’s not the easiest daily. My style is definitely stance-focused, but I’ve been leaning toward adding more performance. My next step is a TSP High Efficiency Downpipe, PRL Front Pipe Upgrade, and a KTuner V2 unit with the free TSP Stage 1 Tune. The best thing about this platform is the aftermarket support - the options are endless. The worst part is the electronics; one bad wire or water spot can cause major issues. If money weren’t an issue, I’d love to put the car on bags, build a full trunk setup, and upgrade the internals for more power. For now, I’m taking it step by step and enjoying the process.

Events & Memories

Every year I attend Slammedenuff in Destin, which is always unforgettable. The energy of the event and the people makes it feel like living in a movie. I also hit up local Cars & Coffee events and plan to attend The Hangar Hangout later this year. I’ve had incredible help from my friends with installs and my family has always been supportive. Being part of the Fitment Industries Street Team has also been amazing. I love being able to give back to the community with my discount code and connect with other enthusiasts.

The car scene has pushed me to keep going. As a car girl, it feels especially rewarding to inspire younger enthusiasts who share the same passion. This car is more than just a hobby; it’s my lifestyle. I think about it when I wake up and before I go to bed. It keeps me going, reflects my personality, and has become a part of who I am.

Friendly Parting Advice

Don’t let other people’s opinions steer you away from what you want. Follow your heart, stay content with your build, and remember that someone will always try to compete. At the end of the day, building a car is about making it yours.
